Just for today, I won’t be defensive. . . . Grab an Inspirational stone. . . . I’m glad you made it to another Friday with me, and into a new month! On this day I know that life goes on and on, carrying me with it, giving me all of the gifts that I need to make the most of myself and my life, if I can just recognize the gifts, accept them for what they are, and use them to the best of my abilities.
Speaking of abilities….Things have continued to be a roller coaster for Momma B after her surgery did not take place yesterday she was moved from ICU into a room….We were finally told the surgery did not take place because the surgeon that her physician wanted to do it was not available to do it yesterday…. Just like most things….lack of communication….. The surgery took place today around 1 PM and after surgery she has been taken back to ICU. As I type this is is almost 11 PM . She is medicated and resting. She know her family and responds to them when they tell them they love her.
Oh and I received a call letting me know my mother who just in case you forgot is in a Nursing Home—–has what they believe is a Kidney Stone….She has a history of kidney stones and has all the symptoms of one. As I hung up the phone , I had one thought and it was of thanks that this time she was in a Nursing Home where she was receiving good care and not home alone.

It is good to know your MIL is resting and responsive to her family! I hope your Mom gets better soon, too. Yes, this is life, but does it all have to happen at once? Good thing you are strong, Miss Vickie! I am thinking it is a good thing you have Mr. Vickie (Carl) by your side.

That’s so true, this is life, there isn’t much choice but to carry on. Support from friends and family is always good to have, but God is essential. Sounds like the surgery went well. Communication is so important, often lacking; at my workplace too.
I’ll keep your family in my prayers, I’m feeling pretty good, by the way, thanks for your comments. Have a wonderful weekend! http://www.beyondthecrossroads.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif

Thanks for updating, Ms. Vickie. My continued prayers for Momma B that the surgery was successful, and that your mom will be okay with that kidney stone.
I love the inspirational ’stones’ - I’d like one of each please!
Take care of yourself. God bless.

I am glad Momma B’s surgery went well and I pray she recovers quickly.
I will also add your mother to my prayers.
And you of course, are always in my thoughts and prayers.
Take care of yourself during this stressful time.

Dear Vickie ~~ I am so sorry you are having so many things to worry about at present. I hope your Mother will be OK with the kidney stone, as you say she is where she can get help, I do hope
Your Mother-in-Law will be Ok after her ops.
And I guess she is in the best place too, to be looked after. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Take care, Vickie, Love, Merle.

Im glad she made it through the surgery. You and Carl hang in there. I know from my own mama that those kidney stones are painful but like you I’m glad your mom is where she can be cared for at this time.
Take care of you.

Hi Vickie, at least some of the news is good, hope the other kind works out and soon.

At least there is some good news and the surgery went off but there is still no excuse for not being on the ball.
It must be a relief knowing your mother is under constant supervision and you could at least breath a little easier.

You know I understand your condition so just try and breathe and relax so your body doesn’t betray you too.
