By now most of you know I have a beautiful heart, yes that is exactly the words used by the cardiologist used to describe the findings following the cardiac cathter and angiogram done last week on Wednesday. I can not explain the relief I feel and unless you have been in that position you can not understand even if I tried.
My physician was surprised when she found nothing especially knowing what was on the stress test that was done in her office. I know this was because prayers were answered, so for each of you were praying and sending good thoughts I thank you very much. Thank you for your kindness, your support and most of all your love. Thanks go to Brian, Karen, Monica, Phonenix, and Walker for the special comments made often on their blog reminding all of what I was facing. A special thanks to Karen and Monica for updating everyone and to Walker for the call from afar—you know that place called Canada. By the way, all this and still no Baklava from Walker and I know I have asked Santa for some or did I? Does he know Monica and I have a special deal worked out or something—-hmmm I never told.
Based on “How Can You Mend A Broken Heart” written by Barry Gibb And Robin Gibb
It is funny in a way
That today is the day
I’ve come back after major heart to-do What better then Friday.
For me to tell you in my own way
I’m glad they did not need to mend a broken heart
I know they couldn’t keep me down
Now I sit here and we’re all smiling
I’m glad that you’re around
Sometimes it’s hard to tell people
Just how much that you care for them
Now I’m so glad my heart
Is beating without stress and strong again
Now that you know I’m O.K.
I have something to say
And you know that the words I speak are true
Each and every day’s a privilege
Knowing you my friends who are loyal as true blue
I’m glad they did not need to mend a broken heart
I know they can’t keep me down
Now I sit here and we’re all smiling
I’m glad that you’re around
Sometimes it’s hard to tell people
Just how much that you care for them
Now I’m so glad my heart
Is beating without stress and strong again

Good! I know that the test wasn’t fun to go through (I’ve had one myself) - but it does greatly contribute to one’s peace of mind to know that at least that that one part of your body remains pumpin’ away! And I’m sure that everyone’s good thoughts and prayers helped. I’m a firm believer in the kinds of power a human mind can wield. You are in my thoughts, my dear. I will, as always, hope that life treats you kindly. Happy Christmas, my friend!
