I was just about to welcome you to a place of peace and positive thoughts when I stopped and realized today I would not be sharing in such a manner you could have a place for a few moments where you can have your own refuge from the stress and strife of the daily grind. Beyond the Crossroads is a place where Life Is Simply Good; it’s here to bring you back up on those days when life may be bringing you down, to keep your spirit uplifted when you feel the need to refresh your perspective, or to help you learn valuable life lessons from people who have been where we are and who have cared enough to teach us what they’ve learned about life and living but today that is not the case. The reason is very simple I have an obstacle in my life and I am using this place as my refuge. You see I have fear in my life.

Most of you know I have been undergoing cardiac evaluation but very few know the process has progressed to the point I will be visiting with the physician today for my pre-op lab work, signing the consent form for a heart catheter next Wednesday. Yes I have FEAR, but I will face it and get through it. I did not sleep at all last night, as I am typing this I am talking myself in or out of keeping the appointment.
I will close by saying I hope I can do as Eleanor Roosevelt says….
You gain strength, experience, and confidence by every experience where you really stop to look fear in the face. . . .You must do the thing you cannot do.
One way or another I will see you again at Beyond the Crossroads where Life Is Simply Good.

I’ll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. I’m sure you will be fine. My mother just recently faced a decision much like yours. She doesn’t regret it now.

Ms. Vickie, who was it that said ‘there’s nothing to fear but fear itself.’ I can’t remember, but one thing I do know; you’ll make the right decision and yes, you have soooo many praying for you and in your corner.
You’ve faced obstacles head on like the trooper that you are, and I know you will this time also. God bless you.

What I wish is that each of us could take a little bit of the fear that you feel. That way you would only have a tiny bit of it and we all would have a tiny bit of it, so that together, none of us, not even you would be afraid. You will be in my thoughts as you are every single day. I hope things go well for you, my friend. Take care.

Medical conditions are a big worry for anyone but I know you have made your way through many problems that lesser people would have given up on. You my dear are a survivor and a good example to the rest of us on how to live a great life even with more problems to face than one person should have to confront. I’ve come to know that you will do what is best for you and it will come out fine. You will have my prayers for the proceedure on Wednesday.
