A flower, a name, just about me | Filed under About Me

It’s a new day in our lives, so let’s take advantage of the fact that we have this new day and live it to the very best of our abilities, with our eyes, hearts and minds wide open!

Now that you have your eyes open I’ll start back with some of the questions.

Deni of Time To Tell

If you could be a flower what kind would you be and why?

That is a great question and one I would not have thought about. I gave this much pondering; you know I love to ponder.
I love nature and with flowers being part of nature is something near and dear to me.
To answer you Deni it may come as a surprise to some but then I imagine to others it will not when I shut up rambling on but I have been taking lessons from my neighbor and friend, Mr. H..( Mr. H you know it is just a Georgia thing and I am teasing you.)

I do need to give you that answer don’t I ?

It is not something exotic and in North America alone there is estimated over 20,000 species of the plant and I might belong to any of 300 different families.

A Wildflower I would be—–grow in the wild on my own.
Independent I am and have always been, even as a child.
Wildflowers indigenous to the continent are called” natives.”
Others, which may be quite common, but not indigenous, have been introduced from some other part of the word and are referred to as “naturalized.”
Both types share one common distinction— They are equipped to grow on their own in nature.

Wildflowers are some of the very first flowers.
They evolved from the early English gardening innovators who recognized the flowers of the wild as perhaps the most wonderful and beautiful flowers of them all.
Yeah—-wonderful, beautiful, that is those wildflowers

Oh and me in my own way—right yeah I think so, come on I know you agree, don’t you?

It matters not where I am, I am my own person—

A wildflower a lot like I am—-at home where ever I am but on my own—Independent.

If I could be a flower a Wildflower I would be because I like who I am.

I think we have time for one more question now so let us go now to

The “Good One” who is Monica from Monicas Thoughts.

I will tell you right off, I refused to answer the first two questions she asked on the grounds that they would incriminate even me. Now you wonder just who the “Good One” is Gee-Whiz. You just got a little hint here and you know I am pretty bold and open but there are just something better kept under wraps. Wait did I have her confused with someone else? She really is the Good One and I will go to any length for her and some know how far.

Now the question—-

I think the name Victoria is absolutely beautiful. However, if you could have a different name, what would it be?

That is a question that is so easy for me to answer I loved my Grandmother P’s name and often wish I had been named for her.
She was my daddy’s mother. Her name was Carrie Belle.
I was the third oldest of five granddaughters. None of us are named for her, I am the one who most resembles her and has her mannerisms.

She even chased and killed her favorite rooster that attacked me when I was a little girl and went to visit.
Yep she chased him with her broom and beat him to death after he attacked me with his “spurs”
All of this was because he scratched her little one up when she went out to gather the eggs.

That was a site me screaming —- here was my granny chasing this flying rooster with a broom ——she was my hero that day.
Oh she still is, I just did not have enough time with her she died when I was very young.

One of the mannerisms I have is “The Look.”
When I give someone one “The Look” my mom will say —–there goes that Mrs. P (Carrie look) and I have the same one.
She was well known for “The Look” according to one of my Aunts who divorced her son. She has also often said I have it so I think I should have had her name and I also love her name.

That is my story and I’m sticking to it. You still have time to ask your question.
I have more to answer and will be doing so.
By the way, Melissa is my real life friend and knows me so she might answer a question or two about me if you ask her very nice.

By now you have witnessed the unique talents of Melissa here. She will be returning as time allows her. I am honored to share her and with you.
From time to time we will have other visitors stopping by and sharing with us.
You never know what you will find here.
This is MY SPACE but I will have others writing.
I hope you will find the new talent as extraordinary as I do. Hurry back to see what you will find here you never know what it will be, even I don’t at times. Things could get a little busy here. Busy or not “Life Is Simply Good.”

I also love the name Victoria. How lovely though that you would chose your Grans name. Your affection for her was quite apparent in this post.
Did I tell you that my middle name is the same as your grans only spelt the Irish way, KERRY.

I’m a ‘toonie’. Tough to kill, and I just keep blooming - mostly for spite. And gawd, I miss my grandmothers. What wonderful ladies they were.

Thanks for answering my question. Someone had asked me that on my blog sometime ago, back in the beginning.

I found it interesting that you picked Wildflowers, when I answered it, I picked Daisy, which is a wildflower.

I think your name is beautiful!

The wildflower fits you well, that’s for sure. :-)

The “Good One” *cough cough* had a great question but I cannot imagine your name being any other than Victoria. While there are several Victorias out there, there’s only one you, who is truly unique. Don’t change a thing. Love you, GF!

I’ve enjoyed reading the guest posts too… even though I accidently got you mixed up with Rain. *snortle* I thought your and my conversation the other day got you all worked up. :rotfl:

Victoria is definately the name for you. And love your flower selection too. I’m rather fond of Freesias myself. I’ve just always loved the scent and the look of them. Very exotic.

It is fun getting worked up! :bananadance:

  9. MyAvatars 0.2 Monica Says:

Loved the post…um…I guess my memory is going on me so could you um…refresh my memory as to what the two questions SUPPOSEDLY were? Hmmm, Girlfriend?

  10. MyAvatars 0.2 Paul of York Says:

I’d ask you to guest host swthunnyb so she could tell us all abut the white lace and red bows but I dare say you’d do just that! So, never mind.

Anyone who chases and beats a rooster to death with a broom for me has to be a favorite; how many people do we know who would show such loyalty? Did you guys have him for dinner then? Or are they too tough?

Victoria is a beautiful name, sure beats the heck out of mine. Not that I’m complaining seeing as how my dad chose it. Wildflower suits you to a tee - I’d have to choose sunflower for me, don’t ask me why! :)
