Yesterday was a special day in so many ways, you know how much I love Mamma B, she is home and slowly improving. I do mean slowly. To give you an indication of the amount of fluid this feisty little lady had with in her lungs and crowding her heart . She weighed 147 while in the hospital and today is at 106. There are some problems and complications but I am not here to discuss them. I just wanted to let you know she is home and yesterday was a day of celebration.
Daddy and Mamma B have been married Fifty (50) years and we were with them to show just how nifty 50 is. As parents, grand parents and great grant-parents we won the lottery with them. This was a second marriage for both so it became a blended marriage—mine, yours, and later ours but guess what that was never the case it was always “OURS”.
I know this is how your life has been and it is my wish there will be many more sunny days for you. I love you both.
Your Marriage Is Golden
A partnership like yours is rare;
50 years you’ve been together!
You’ve always been a loving team,
In sunny times and stormy weather.
Nothing can tarnish your lasting love;
At 50 years, your marriage is gold.
Your affection shines as you go through the years,
Having each other to love and to hold.
Yes this is Daddy and Mamma B with their children—now for a game which one in the picture is my spouse—I did help you out. Another little question Daddy B has a pet name for Mamma B and the initials are ST what does that stand for? I know you like to play so come on play along and have fun with me.
I will return with more fun this week, yes FUN:heart:

Well I am certainly glad that she is home and doing better! Lets all pray that this improvement continues. You really sound relieved, my dear. This must have been so stressful for you. Please remember to take care of yourself as well.

It is good that she is out of the hospital - they are dangerous places! It’s also wonderful they made 50 years of marriage. Not many go that long nowdays. Lets hope they can make 60 or more. I would guess your Hubby is the other bearded one in the photo. I dunno what ST stands for. Maybe Sexy (a pet name starting with T.)

Hi Vickie ~~ So very pleased to hear your MIL is
home and recovering. A nifty -fifty anniversary
That is pretty good these days. I would guess like Dick, the bearded one is your ex. And I
would guess ST stands for Sexy Thing. All the
best to you all. Take care, Merle.

My parents will be married 49 years this August and I’m looking forward to their 50th next year.
How wonderful for Mamma B and Daddy, it’s wonderful they still have each other and are still in love, it’s obvious. I am keeping Mamma B in my prayers.
Fifty is quite nifty, even for you and a special day this week. :cool::heart:

I can’t answer any of your questions, as I haven’t been around long enough to have gotten any clues. Some people’s comments got me all confused, so now I’m gonna have to go surfing your blog for the answers
I’m happy to hear Mamma B is home. A friend’s grandmother is in the hospital right now with all that excess liquid in her body too, and I hope they’re able to do the same for her that your hospital did for Mamma B.

I guess too, the other bearded man as your hubby, but I have no clue what St could stand for.
Glad your doing good.
*hugs*

Hi Vickie, good to see some improvement for Momma B, as for the ex just to be different I’m going for the one on the right, no clue on SB, in our crude Aussie style it would be something like silly bugger, but I know that won’t be the case with these folk.
June 14th, 2006 at 2:52 am

happy birthday to you, and happy anniversary to parents b. my parents were married in october of 1948. they are not in the best of health now, dad had heart surgery and mom has inoperable lung cancer, but they are able to get around in their own home with little help. the next door neighbour comes and cleans for them once a week. hang on to them and enjoy all the time you have with them. happy hump day!:wave:
