A few words with meanings | Filed under General

I Live : in a world that is dark at times and full of color at other times.
I Work : hard and I play hard when Missy lets me and I have the motivation and take the initiative.
I Talk : a lot… but I can be somewhat quiet reserved and shy around people.
I Wish : things could be like they were before Missy and I could be stronger and wiser than I am now… and someday, I will win the battle with my health problems.
I Enjoy : writing with a passion. It’s nice to let my feelings flow and not care what people think about me.
I Look : for good in people or try to and believe they are good unless they prove otherwise.
I Find : blogging is a great way to express myself, share my thoughts and make friends in the world.
I Listen : to my heart and not to my brain’s logical, reasonable thinking.
I Hide : my problems or sadness from most people and bottle it up inside me until I can’t handle it anymore.
I Pray : everyday that someday everything will be okay…

There will be more of this in the days to come as I choose words to use and complete little phrase that will tell more about me. In keeping with the theme of Friday’s 5 Flavors why not just choose five words and share a few things with us about you. Come on peel back a few of your layers and share with your friends here.

Before I close today, I must share this very important article I came across for all those who must see Big Brother like my friend Monica. There are Big Changes for “Big Brother”, coming this summer will it work. It worked for Survivor and you need to go here to see what you think about this. I know I will be tuned it to it but will not be expecting any calls turning that time from my friend Monica.

And your thoughts are?

I wish peace would settle in my soul, and no longer plague me in things that happened in the yesterdays of my life.

I long for someone to take my hand and lead me from this pit of depression.

I would love to be loved, as I love others, with no fear of being stranded, isolated in despair.

I wish I knew forgiveness the way I forgive others.

I wish I could have been myself arouhnd my mother; she might have liked me.

The tough times in my past have made me stronger.

There was a time in my life that depression and guilt beat me down so bad that I nearly took my own life.

Never again will I allow that to happen to me.

I now know that whatever life throws at me, I will survive, and something good arises out of the bad. Sometimes we just have to look a little harder to find the good.

One thing for sure, through all the bad times, I never once lost my Faith in God, and those times only made my faith stronger.

  3. MyAvatars 0.2 Joe Says:

Hey girl, your like and old shoe, fits just right! Have a Blessed Easter season girl!

  4. MyAvatars 0.2 Leslie Says:

You bring out the best in people, Ms. Vickie.

I’m thinking about you and wishing you a Happy Easter.

  5. MyAvatars 0.2 John Says:

    Well written Miss Vickie.

I sort of ‘peeled’ a bit today over at my place.

    Happy Easter. :)

  6. MyAvatars 0.2 Monica Says:

I wish my younger son would give up his dream of being in the Marines. I wish I were a more understanding mother about him FOLLOWING that same dream.

I LOVE BIG BROTHER…reading the article now!

  7. MyAvatars 0.2 susan Says:

I have never heard of Big Brother, I guess its a TV show? I dont watch TV, so I am out of the loop.
I admire your peeling off the layers Vicki. I wonder if I know myself well enough to even recognize a layer well enough to share it?

  8. MyAvatars 0.2 poopie Says:

I hope that the Easter bunny doesn’t forget me ;)

  9. MyAvatars 0.2 Walker Says:

    I Live :
    I Work :
    I Talk :
    I Wish :
    I Enjoy :
    I Look :
    I Find :
    I Listen :
    Hide :
    I Pray :

    You forgot play.
That is something that as we grow to be adults we forget to play and have fun.
As kids we revolved around playing and were always happy.
In fact we were dragged away to go eat or sleep.
Its time we started playing again and enjoying life.
Get some friends together and go out sand play, beats playing with yourself.
Errrrrr ummm you know what I mean.

    Have a nice weekend :)

  10. MyAvatars 0.2 Greg Says:

I find that writing on my blog helps me to understand how I am feeling about what is happening in my life. It gives me a place to vent, as well as a place to organize my thoughts so that I can better express them to those close to me.

Sometimes I wonder, as I am writing about personal feelings, why I want to share them with people I don’t know.

    I’m still wondering.

  11. MyAvatars 0.2 g-man Says:

I Live : for the moment, being mindful of the future but not hung up on it
I Work : to live, not the other way around
I Talk : a lot at times, when I’m around interesting people. I get real quite when the idiot squad is around.
I Wish : I could find the money tree so I didn’t have to work!
I Enjoy : drawing, writing, painting, listening to music, mother nature
I Look : for the greater meaning in the smallest of things. The meaning of life is the meaning we give it.
I Find : the once you open your mind up to the possiblities of the world and the wonders of life, that living is an astounding thing.
I Listen : to much music but also to a lot more silence these days. I also, bottom line, try to listen to my intuition.
I Hide : my problems to my family. They don’t need the additional burdens.
I Pray : through my art and music. Not to a traditional god, but to the world.
    :)

  12. MyAvatars 0.2 Dick Says:

I agree with Walker, don’t forget to play. Adults don’t have to just be serious all the time. I kind of think of my retirement as being let out to play as a second childhood. It is pretty good.

I like each one of those thoughts. There will be a day when everything is okay but that will not be until Christ returns. Until then we lean on prayer and family and friends.

Happy Easter! Rejoice He has arisen and lives. Your faith will not go unanswered–maybe not the way you planned it, but God has a plan for all that believe in Him. He will never make you endure more than you can handle, although at times it may seem that way. Have a blessed Easter Sunday.

  23. MyAvatars 0.2 Deb Says:

I LIVE—(try to live) For every second of every day as if it were my last

I Talk—Sometimes when I should be listening, especially to my children. Kids are a lot wiser than adults give them credit for.

I Wish—For the “good old days.” When you could smile at a stranger and they not see it as a threat. When you could ride your bike or your horse miles from home, and didn’t have to worry if you’d be kidnapped.

I enjoy—the contented sigh of my children as they slumber; the patter of rain on the window sill; nature; laughter and conversation with friends and family; finishing a short story.

I pray—for continued success; the health and well being of my friends (online and off) and family.

    HAPPY EASTER MS. VICKIE!

I am amazed by those in my life.

I dislike gossips but feel sorry for them in the same beath.

    I hate the word hate.

I learn something new every day, sometimes it’s a big lesson.

This was a great thing, sorry I’m late in getting over!

5 words? only 5? :-) I am what I am. thats 5. Ok just kidding. You want layers. Hmmmm I have no layers. But maybe a sum of bubba would help. Summed up I am caring, kind, patient, and loving. Also can be very stubborn and aggressive if needed. You get what you sow with me.
