Today there is sadness here as we gather on “Our Porch” and once again I come asking you for something but as always it is not for me. It is for one of our friends and fellow bloggers, actually I could say in a small way for two of our bloggers.
Yesterday morning Brian of An Audience of One lost his father as he passed away suddenly after a very short hospitalization. I ask you to please keep Brian and his family in your thoughts and in your prayers if you are so inclined. Many of you like I have been privileged to watch a romance blossom as a seed was planted and nurtured and grow between Monica of Monicas Thoughts and Brian. I ask you to please keep Monica in your thoughts and in your prayers if you are inclined as she stands by and supports Brian during this difficult time. Please stop by and let them know you have them in your thoughts.Brian you have always inspired me as you dealt with the obstacles that came your way and I know you will once again handle this with strength as only you show at times.
Here is something special for you.
by Jennifer Janiszewski
There is nothing I can do,
to make him come back
There are no words I can say,
that can replace the words you long to hear
There are no answer’s I can give,
that will satisfy your questions
There is no other soul I can introduce you to that will ever replace his
There is no love I can offer that will replace the love you shared
I can not promise your broken heart will ever be complete
I will not say it could have been worse
I will not deny it was a tragedy
I will not lie and tell you he will come back
He never really left
I do promise he hears you when you speak
I will say he loves you no matter the distance
I will not deny he is in a better place
And, I will not lie; he is waiting to greet you someday
He is in every you step you take
He is in everything you do
He is the air you breathe
He is in every beat of your heart
” He is like the wind. You can not see him…but you will always feel him”

” He is like the wind. You can not see him…but you will always feel him”
So many times I’ve wondered what does one say to someone who’s lost a loved one? Where do you find the right words? How do we even know what the right words are? Even having experienced loss ourselves can we ever really understand what someone else is feeling? This poem is the closest I think I’ve ever seen to being just the right thing to say.
I hope Brian and his family know they are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Monica is a very good friend of mine, they were one of the first places I stopped yesterday.
They are both in my thoughts and prayers as well as all the family members. This is a difficult time for them for sure.

It is so tough to lose one’s parents and words do not provide all the comfort they should. But it is nice to reach out to those going through this part of life and to ensure them they will heal and the memories of good parents will see them through.

Hi Vic,
What a lovely passage. I hope it will bring a little comfort to Brian. Very touching.
On a lighter note… My post today is about White Rock, thought it may interest you.
