Here we are for another Wednesday’s Wonderings on “Our Porch “the beginning of this month brings spring (or autumn, far to the south of us). It is a beautiful time of the year; it is a time I often find myself evaluating life. It is from the darkness of winter we are awakening to find longer and warmer days. The appearance of violets, buttercups, tulips, daisies, and daffodils spring forth here in no set patterns. The butterflies and birds are seen flying and fluttering about as they begin to dance for us. Fruit trees begin to blossom and preparations for the gardens do the same yes I know March is here and spring my favorite season is here.
Here is something I would like to share with you that speak to me and it might speak to you:
You Are You
You are strong. . . when you take your
grief and teach it to smile.
You are brave. . . when you overcome your
fear and help others to do the same.
You are happy. . . when you see a flower
and are thankful for the blessing.
You are loving. . . when your own pain
does not blind you to the pain of others.
You are wise. . . when you
know the limits of your wisdom.
You are true. . . when you admit
there are times you fool yourself.
You are alive. . . when tomorrow’s hope means
more to you than yesterday’s mistake.
You are growing. . . when you know what
you are but not what you will become.
You are free. . . when you are in control of
yourself and do not wish to control others.
You are honorable. . . when you find
your honor is to honor others.
You are generous. . . when you
can take as sweetly as you can give.
You are humble. . . when you
do not know how humble you are.
You are thoughtful. . . when you see me
just as I am and treat me just as you are.
You are merciful. . . when you forgive in
others the faults you condemn in yourself.
You are beautiful. . . when you
don’t need a mirror to tell you.
You are rich. . . when you never
need more than what you have.
You are you. . . when you are
at peace with who you are not.
I wish you all the best of all that’s good and true, now today for Wednesday’s Wonderings what are you wondering? Just share something special here with us that you have on your mind, be it a rant, if you are angry but can not voice it at your place let it out here, just get comfortable look around at those who visit here, make a new friend, leave a smile just know you are special if you visit Ms. Vickie. Now come on set a spell with Ms. Vickie, the Southern Bell.

That poem touched my soul and brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for sharing it.
I’m thinking of my incredible friends and how fortunate I am to have them in my life. I wish I could take away their pain and illnesses and make their dreams come true.
I’m thankful for you and your special way of making me laugh, giving me a shoulder, and all you have taught me about life… and gee whiz, the list goes on and on (you know I had to say that). Love & hugs!

I am wondering what the future holds for me after the major change that happened in my life last July.
That is a wonderful poem and the photo that starts the post is beautiful. Did you take it? Is it one image or a Photoshop combination of two?
I am off in the car today to Quartzsite to meet my neighbors from home, who are down in Arizona with their RV. It will be interesting to see what Q looks like a month beyond the big winter events there. I’ll take some photos.

What a wonderful poem. Something to really make you think about what it is that we are supposed to be.
What am I wondering? Oh far too many things to just sit and ramble on about here on the porch. But I will say that I’m happier, more content and at peace than I have been in the last 8 years of my life. And that’s something worth living for.
Hugs, love and prayers. Keep smilin and keep loving.

I am wondering why I am here at work instead of outside enjoying spring.
The fruit trees are just starting to bud out. As soon as the peaches reach full bloom I’ll get the photo of them you wanted.

I wonder what it will be like when my only child goes off to college in the fall. What will I do with all of the extra time that used to be shuttling her around? Unfortunately my wife and I are not getting along well at the moment and our joint love for our daughter is what has kept us together for quite a while. The future can be scary.

Growing up we had a big old house like your front page pic. in our neighborhood. It seems I was always falling in love with a new cute little girl. One had moved into that big old house and yep she stole my heart! I remember siting on that porch and (don’t flench) I carved her name on my leg! Geez, now I don’t remember her name but she sure was cute!

I am wondering many, many things about my life. But i’ll find most of the answers in time, i’m sure.
Spring is the best season, imo. I LOVE all the new colors, sounds, sights and smells. It’s a brand new awakening for everything, a new start. *sighs*
