Friendship is the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person, having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words. Happiness is not so much in having as sharing. We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. I believe this and as my mother once said, I give more than I keep even at the expense of harming myself. Many times I have made mistakes in choices I have made and even today I might continue to do so, it is something I struggle with. I do know I have made some changes to prevent making the same type of mistakes I have made in the past but many times mistakes will haunt you and I just hope mine do not. Today, I chose to remove my walls and share myself all of me once again.
To Share With You
When we share laughter,
There’s twice the fun;
When we share a success,
We surpass what I’ve done.
When we share problems,
There’s half the pain;
When we share tears,
A rainbow follows rain.
When we share dreams,
They become more real;
When we share secrets,
It’s our hearts we reveal.
If we share a smile,
Then our love shows;
If we share a hug,
Then our love grows.
If we share with someone
On whom we depend,
That person becomes
Friend, or someone special
And what draws us closer
And makes me care,
Is not what you have,
But the things that we share.
I am Always Victoria and for right now I have Hope and will close with this.
Hope “lights a candle” instead of “cursing the darkness.”
Hope opens doors where despair closes them.
Hope looks for the good in people instead of harping on the worst in them.
Hope discovers what can be done instead of grumbling about what cannot be done.
Hope draws its power from a deep trust in God and the basic goodness of mankind.
Hope regards problems, small or large, as opportunities.
Hope cherishes no illusions, nor does it yield to cynicism.

That was so beautiful, Vickie! Friendship and hope are true treasures in life. It is almost impossible to get through live without either.

The mistakes we make teach us the best lessons. Provided they are not repeated.

May be a little off but this is the though that came in my mind this morning: “I should think of a reason to be happy each morning.”

“Hope draws its power from a deep trust in God and the basic goodness of mankind.”
I loved the entire thing, but this one stuck out at me Vickie….especially with what is going on in New Orleans. There are always some “bad apples” but it’s the goodness of the rest of mankind that restores MY hope!
Friendships are the glue that keep my sanity intact! I absolutely love my friends and couldn’t imagine happiness in my life without them.
Have a great long weekend my friend!
