Even in the darkness of times there is wonder and I will learn. I thank you for your presence here and hope that there is something I will say that speaks to you in a very positive way! The need to make wise choices encompasses every area of our lives. Since we have time for only a limited amount of stuff, we need to choose wisely what stuff we’re going to allow to take up that time. Since we have only a limited amount of time to spend with friends or to engage in leisure activities, we need to choose our friends and our activities wisely. This rings clear to me today more than other days but we walk in beauty every day even when things seem ugly and bleak around us.
Today is Blog Day and I was tagged by one of my very favorite International Bloggers to take part in. Not wanting to let Shirazi of Light Within down I am going to play so let me begin. First you must go here to find out about were this began.
It was very difficult to pick five bloggers so I have just closed my eyes and selected four with the exception of the Shirazi and I would love to tell you more about him. You could not go wrong by visiting any of the wonderful friends on my blog roll and I encourage you to do so . So let me get introduce you to my friend who tagged me first .
Shirazi of Light Within
Those who see with eyes; life is beautiful,
Those who speak with gentle voices; life is peaceful,
Those who help with gentle hands; life is full,
Those who have a compassionate heart; Life is Simply Good
Shirazi embodies all of the above. His gentleness, caring, and deep devotion to others is reflected in his blog. The fact that a Pakistani blogger has embraced our western blogging community, and has had such a tremendous impact on myself and others, is definite proof that one world, one heart, one love is truly possible, if only people would reach out and communicate with others. Shirazi brings me hope of such things, and in this day and age, that is a miracle. He is an excellent educator, and always willing to share the pride he has of his country, and his culture, to dispel all the many misconceptions we may have of it. He is an excellent ambassador for Pakistan, and for the other great bloggers from there. I feel blessed to know him.
The remainder blogs will just be listed and no comments will be made about them at this time but remember they are wonderful writers and you should visit them.
Please take a moment, visit these blogs and let them know I sent you over in honor of this special day and if you would like please feel free to play along but I will not be tagging anyone as something else is on the horizon.
Tomorrow is a very important day for me. I will be participating in Katrina Blog Relief Day and the charity I will be blogging for is the Humane Society. If you want to know more information about this you can go here However you will be given more information on how you can support me in my efforts tomorrow so please stay tuned. Just remember there is so much you and I have to be thankful for.
Until later.

Thank you for this feature. If we can become friends through our blogs, then it’s for sure that blogging over the boundaries of countries and continents can improve the understanding we hold of each other.
Here in Brussels, there are several ghettos, where people live from all over the world. The lack of integration causes fear, anger and misunderstanding between peoples living so closely together. Yet, it’s not only a matter of them adapting to our ways of doing things over here. If we are interested in other cultures when we are on vacation in faraway places, why then are we not more interested in these other cultures, when we can meet them here on the street at home? To overcome this I believe we need a greater openness and we need to talk to each other. And that’s one thing that bloggers are doing a good job at.
