Here we are the beginning of another month, August will provide us with 31 days of new experiences, ideas, thoughts, and opportunities, and I hope that you’re able to take advantage of them and make this a very special month. Welcome and just for today , please make it your best effort to stick to your word.
Have you ever really thought much about dreams, yes you I am speaking to you. No stop that dreaming and listen to me. Dreams is defined in Webster’s Dictionary as a “sequence of sensations, images, thoughts, etc., passing through a person’s mind.
In our dreams, we can go anywhere, we can be anybody, and we can do anything. When we dream, we are mere passengers, unable to control our actions and and surroundings.
Sometimes, dreams can be understood in the the context of repressed thoughts. Dreaming serves as an outlet for those thoughts and impulses we repress during the day. When we go to sleep at night and slip into our dream state, we feel liberated and behave and act in a manner that we do not allow ourselves in our waking life it has been said.
Realize that your dreams are unique. No other individual can have your background, your emotions, or your experiences. Every dream is connected with your own “reality”. Thus, in interpreting your dreams, it is important to draw from your personal life and experiences. Remember that a dream unifies the body, mind, and spirit. It provides you with insight into ourselves and a means for self-exploration. In understanding your dreams, you will have a better understanding and discovery of your true self.
Do you dream, I don’t remember any dreams when I sleep I dream during the day. What do you think about dreams? Talk to me, tell me your dreams or just your thoughts for you know I love to know how you feel about things. Before I leave I would like to share this with you….
Dreams
To believe is to know that every day
is a new beginning.
It is to trust that miracles happen,
and dreams really do come true.
To believe is to see angels dancing among the clouds,
To know the wonder of a stardust sky
and the wisdom of the man in the moon.
To believe is to know the value of a nurturing heart,
The innocence of a child’s eyes
and the beauty of an aging hand,
for it is through their teachings we learn to love.
To believe is to find the strength
and courage that lies within us.
When it is time to pick up the pieces and begin again.
To believe is to know we are not alone,
That life is a gift and this is our time to cherish it.
To believe is to know that wonderful surprises
are just waiting to happen,
And all our hopes and dreams are within reach.
If only we believe.

My dreams are usually a cartoon carnival - generally some silly thing that transforms into something even sillier. I forget them quickly, but remember dreaming. Rarely are my dreams troubling and no doubt reveal a little something about my fears and desires. I’m not sure I learn much from them, but I hardly ever feel uncomfortable with them. My thoughts are mine and I’m stuck with them. Dream a little dream with me.

I used to have very distorted weird dreams about houses, being lost in them, they were often maze like and I would become disoriented and frightened in them.
I don’t have them so much now that my life is more stable. To me houses represent stability and security, but as a child I was frequently bounced around from one place to another, even in a foster home for a few years. As an adult when I was married to my ex, we moved frequently.
To me these dreams that I had reflected the insecurity of my life. Now that I am secure in my marriage and in the same home for quite some time now, I have found that it is rare that I have one of these dreams and only when there is turmoil in my life.

I have the usual run of the mill dreams that relate to stuff going on in my life….and then I have “visits”. These dreams are when I wake up remembering every detail and word said to me by loved ones who have passed on. I love those ones.

I know I have dreams. But I usually don’t remember them. If I ‘daydream’ I know I don’t usually remember those. Once every so often, my dream while I am sleeping at night wakes me up… not very often, as I don’t remember them.

Yes I dream a lot. During day, I have somewhat ‘calculated’ dreams, thought that can be pursued. At night I mostly have dreams that some time take me to the unknown. My dreams in the unknown caution me, tip me, lead me and some time make me predict.

Dreams, so I have heard, are indeed windows to supressed thoughts.. at least the ones while we sleep…
and perhaps whilst we are awake, also?
Good post Victoria.

Dreams guide me, help me solve problems, and some foretelling the future. Some are just whacked.
The dreams I have for my life, help keep me on the right road (most of the time). They help me see my potential and see the potential of great this world would be if all the negative, nasty, evil people would change for the good.
Beautiful post, as well as the poem. So true…

I used to dream about missing the bus that would take me home from school. I dreamed that dream even after I was married and had kids of my own going to school. Another dream that I dreamed a lot was going into this house that I knew as well as my own and one day finding a room that I didn’t even know existed. And I daydream a lot, my husband and I refer to it as zoning.

I remember some of my dreams.
They differ and are connected to the mood I am in before I fall asleep. Many of my dreams are about war and fighting. I figure this represents my past and the struggle that I go through in life.
There is more but it would be rated xxx
Have a nice day.

I sleep so hard it’s rare I can remember one. When I do, they usually have some kind of an impact on me. I’m still waiting to meet up with the strange fellow in my last one.

I remember probably 95% of my dreams and ALL of my nightmares. Yep, that does sound dramatic, doesn’t it? LOL As a child I suffered from night terrors so bad i’d sleepwalk and scream out. Sometimes I would walke and every joint and muscle in my body was locked and my throat raw from yelling and crying.
As I got older I learned how to control and manipulate the nightmares. It wasn’t until a few years ago I learned the term for it…. Lucid Dreaming. (Lots of info on it at various sites on the net.)
I do believe that our dreams can be portals into the unknown, or portents of the possibilities coming up in the things we have to deal with. They can be great ways to relax, problem solving tools, or adventures to our inner selves.
And i’m going to get off my soap box now! LOL Great post Victoria!

I can’t believe we’re into August already. I’ve enjoyed this summer. I have felt so much emotional and spiritual growth during these last few months.
Hope you’re having a cozy evening!

I believe in dreams, and I try to write mine down as soon as I awaken, but soon as I find a ink pen…I forget,…

I love this post about dreams. I am a spiritual person and believe we can astral travel and predict the future. It happens to me.

Wow, Dreams is actually the title of a Fleetwood Mac song that I’ve been hearing so much of lately. Cool coincidence and love the post!
