Ever since Brian wrote his article”Why Not” and talked of his desire for everyone to find the courage I have. I have been doing some reflecting on a couple of things such as , just what is courage, and do I really have courage. Most of you know what happens when I begin to ponder things it always leads me someplace.
Courage is
cour·age Audio pronunciation of “courage” ( P ) Pronunciation Key (kûrj, kr-)
n.
The state or quality of mind or spirit that enables one to face danger, fear, or vicissitudes with self-possession, confidence, and resolution; bravery.
courage
n : a quality of spirit that enables you to face danger of pain without showing fear
Now is this really me? I try , yes but…this is really me, Yes this says it all about me and courage…
Facing life with a sense of determination and realism that
says…
“I know I will face setbacks.
I will allow for them.
I will move through them.
And I will be grateful
for each victory I enjoy!”
“I know I will face setbacks.”
*That’s reality.
“I will allow for them.”
*That’s a realistic expectation from the inside out.
“I will move through them.”
*That’s determination with a sense of hope.
“And I will be grateful.”
*That’s staying balanced.
“For each victory I enjoy!”
*That’s taking things a step at a time, learning along
the way, and celebrating the beauty of the moment.
My day is filled with beautiful moments in time.
This is MY COURAGE!
Thank you Brian for the reminder that I do have courage and I can enjoy and celebrate the victories along the way. This is reality, this is my life and Yes Life Is Simply Good.

From that great philosopher C. Howard Lee Lion:
Courage. What makes a King out of a slave? Courage.
What makes the flag on the mast to wave? Courage.
What makes the elephant charge his tusk in the misty mist or the dusky dusk?
What makes the muskrat guard his musk? Courage.
What makes the Sphinx the 7th Wonder? Courage.
What makes the dawn come up like THUNDER?! Courage.
What makes the Hottentot so hot?
What puts the “ape” in ape-ricot?
Whatta they got that I ain’t got?

Very good post.
Courage to me is doing what ever it takes to do what needs to be done, no matter what it is, from telling someone you love them to telling some one you don’t or facing an attacker or telling someone the outfit they are wearing is ugly.
Courage is facing your fears big or small.
Have a nice day

Vickie, I just so admire the way you face life. Standing up to every obstacle and facing them down. Your positive attitude…I just love it.

I see you as one big ol’ positive thought! Courage is simply not giving up, but carrying on in the face of everything. You have that. And I wish you an excellent day, Vickie!

Hello,
Our mutal gypsy friend Jude sent me your way. I’ve only had the time to read a couple of your posts, but I have to tell you how much I have been moved.
As a MS survivor (i refuse and refute the term ‘victim’) I can relate to your interview. And as someone who is constantly looking for her own courage I appreciate the words you shared.
It’s hard at times to wake up and keep postive when you know the day is going to be a fight. And being able to read of others who do it with class and style and are willing to share just makes life so much sweeter. Thank you.

Vickie, you are a wonderful lady. I don’t know where courage grows, I know you have an abundance :):):)
What a wonderful thing for someone to post about:)

Vickie, as always you post on a thought and feelings of a postive nature. In my life you have given me reasons to contemplate the same subject you post about. I wish you all the best. My medical condition does not compare. But you have given me more drive and determantion.

Another brilliant post Vickie. I have never doubted for a second that you do not have courage. I see it everyday in your posts and in your comments on other blogs. Your beautiful spirit not only gives you courage to face your challenges but gives courage to everyone else to face their own.
