“If you smother your Passions long enough, you won’t remember what you love”
Many of us have put aside our passions for a while, to focus on practical goals.
That’s o’kay but be sure you’re only putting them to the side temporarily,
not smothering them. You need to bring out your passions occasionally, even if it’s only long enough to remind yourself that you still have them. If you don’t have time during the week, bring them out at weekends. If you don’t have time during the year, bring them out on vacations. Make it a goal to keep your passions lit, and one day you’ll be able to enjoy the fire again!
Where the passion lies
What the soul desires
When the heart wants something
It requires
Desires are best forbidden
Emotions running high
Intense situations
Light up the sky
Lives interwined
Always connected
Destined to be
Together always
Passion and desires
Make life worth living
To have these things
Is a blessing
Taken for granted
But cant live without them
These passions u have
Are ignited.
What are your passions in life and how do you keep them lit? Please never let them be smothered either by yourself or others for it is these passions who make each of us the unique individual we are. Many times when my passions are at their highest you will find me more creative soaring above for that is when I am happiest and can not be held down. Is there anyone who might like to soar with me, if so come on for I am soaring to the place where Life Is Simply Good.

I’m with you on this one. I realized the other day that some people do not know what their passions are. And I can’t imagine not having any. Thanks for posting this…and it’s a little while since I’ve visited so I must say, look at your new snazzy site!

Passions border on love or things intensely liked, right? It seems we have to balance those needs as you so wonderfully posted. Today I am going to be a passionate cleaner…. I have put “it” aside much to long. Seems there are things that are not high on my list of likes, that I CAN be passionate about. ~I love ya…and send BIG CyberHugs. I always feel grand and enlightened when I visit here~ Hope your day is a good one.

Okay wind up and hit me right between my eyes. I have not lived or even searched for my passions for the last 8 years. I would have a hard time finding them now.
Somehow a drug infested life got in my way and I can not get back to them.

Passions are things that fire up the soul ~ and I believe they are put there for us to do something with. Like creativity for example, if you don’t use it, you lose it, and what a shame!

I love passions…I can’t live my life without them. When my son was sent to Iraq, he held my hand and looked in my eyes and said, “Mom, promise whatever happens, you’ll never stop writing.” He knows writing is my passion second only to my children.
A lot of people have commented to me lately about my passion for life…while others my age and older may be slowing down, I’m exploring my life and it’s outer circles even more.
I like passions.

I try to keep my passions lit, but some of the flames seem to burn very low, but then someone comes along and ignites them into burning high. Strange what other’s passions and personalities can do for another’s passions. I need reminders too like this too since I get so caught up in every day life that some are hidden.
Beautiful post! *HUGS*

When I began my crusade for the mentally challenged, my younger brother said “I wish I had your passion”. I told him, you do have passion - we all do - we’re all just passionate about different things. That’s what makes us unique.
I would really like to regain my passion for writing and get another book done - maybe your post was what I needed to get myself in gear. So once again, I thank you sweet Victoria. You always seem to know what we need. God Bless.

A most excellent post Vickie :). Passions are what makes life worth living.

Fate sometimes dictates that passion be redirected, away from the primal and closer to the soul, to the very sourse of caring and love. Not unlike the white light of a near death experience, it takes the black light glow of a real life experience. If I survive, I will be whole.

I have been so busy since my father’s illness, I have lost focus of my passions. I need to get them back because my life feels out of balance.
