I’ve been tagged! | Filed under Quizzes, jokes, mysteries, and surprises

I was tagged by Denise, The Queen, from Out In The Open. I am to list five things that most of society does that I just don’t get. I have given this much thought so here goes and they are not in any order so I do not consider number one any more important than number five.

1. Does not place the appropriate emphasis on a holiday for what it should be celebrated instead they allow it to become more commercialized each year.

2. Continue to discriminate on the basis of class or category without regard to an individual’s merit.

3. Attention and emphasis continue to be placed upon children who are athletically inclined as opposed to those who are academically inclined.

4. Mobile phones have become an almost irreplaceable device as people are able to stay linked to friends, family and workplaces every hour of the day. The convenience, entertainment and extra functions they offer have led to their use by the masses all around the world. However, while their popularity has proliferated, unfortunately mobile phone etiquette and common courtesy has become a somewhat slower concept rarely used. The revolution of mobile phones has radically changed the world of telecommunications. Society has to invent and implement rules in order for this device to be used without creating frustration and annoyance. Even today, mobile phone etiquette has not evolved.

5. Most people feel you must be be part of a religious community in order to fully experience a relationship with God.

Thank you, Denise for tagging me as this was the first time I have ever been tagged and it was one in which I did enjoy. It allowed me to ponder and give thought and reach inside myself and give thought to what I was going to say before I did so. Now I have decided I would not tag anyone but I would like to ask you to please play along here or leave us a note indicating you will be playing on your blog if you would like to. It was fun, trust me for it gave me things to really think over. Life Is Simply Good and I hope your week has started off just as mine has.

I love your answers!!!! #5 really rang true for me. Always having been a believer in having a very personal relationship with the powers that be. I believe in god, goddess, magic, and fairies and wishes and dreams and that everyone and every creature even rocks have a spirit and a knowlegde. Okay sorry went of the path a bit there. Thankyou for playing along with the game of tag!!!!I knew you would have some spectacular answers!!!:) Love to you:)

Very well put! I KNOW that I am really guilty with the cell phone. It’s so easy to forget there are others around when I’m happily chatting away.

Also, #5 really rang true. I’ve always believed that you don’t have to sit in a church or synagog in order to experience God. To each his/her own. Personally, I feel closer to God when I am out in nature… Thanks for sharing, Vic!

Hear me echo all of what’s been said in here.

As usual, Vicky, you’ve gone straight to the point. Maybe there should be a written manual for phone etiquette and then impose penalties. It’s unbelievable the stretch that some people go to with their phones: for example, a Professor actually answered his phone while giving a lecture/seminar (yes, he was abroad then) and carried on a conversation for 2 mins.

    Unbelievable!

Oh those cell phones - so many times I have almost told people to hang up their darn phones and pay attention to what they are doing…..

  6. MyAvatars 0.2 Karen Says:

All very good and well thought out, and I agree with all.

I hope you have a wonderful day! *HUGS & Love*!

  7. MyAvatars 0.2 susan Says:

Hi Vicky, Well done. I did the 5 things on my site too.

  8. MyAvatars 0.2 Vickie Says:

Very well done - good answers. **Hugss**

  9. MyAvatars 0.2 Sally Says:

Oh, the cell phone thing just irks the living stew outta me!! You are right, mobile phone etiquette has not evolved. When I have a customer standing in front of me, and I have to ask a question or make a statement like “your order comes to this amount”, some of those people look at me like “How dare you interrupt my conversation!” Ewwwwww - no, don’t get me going on that!!!!!

And, I totally agree on #5.
