Desmond Tutu once said ” We were made to enjoy music, to enjoy beautiful sunsets, to enjoy looking at the billows of the sea and to be thrilled with a rose that is bedecked with dew… Human beings are actually created for the transcendent, for the sublime, for the beautiful, for the truthful… and all of us are given the task of trying to make this world a little more hospitable to these beautiful things. ” So I ask you what are you doing to make this world a little more hospitable? Talk here among friends and share with me. Please don’t disappointment and I know you are not shy. If nothing else and you are reading this tell me where you are from and something about yourself for I have an inquiring mind and would love to know why over 100 people visit each day yet I know so few of you……so why is that?

First visit, just blogstrolled over from Grey Biker.
I am from Colorado… well, I live here. I grew up in Los Angeles.
What I try to do is speak up against certain “isms. I hate when people make generalizations about women based on their age, or their size.
I call them on it. In fact, I did it just tonight. So, that is me. Part of me.

Hello! Maintaining a positive attitude towards things and people, that’s my little way of keeping the world hospitable.

100 a day? Great!
I like to think I contribute in my own small way over on my site, by sharing what and how I got to where I am today…

I try to get a smile out of people and share my view from atop the mountain to those who can’t climb it with me. Have a good weekend sweetie.

I try to keep a positive attitude for both myself and for others who are being bogged down by the negativity. Not always easy but I believe if you can see one small glimmer of light at the end of a long dark tunnel its better than pure darkness where you feel utterly alone and lost. I try to be there for my family and friends, whoever needs me as they have been there for me in my darkest days or just when I need a hug.
*HUGS* to you! Love ya!

I try to help my youngest daughter with her kids despite how I feel about the position she put herself into and how it affected us.
I love a good sunset and the ocean, especially together.

I sing. I laugh. I joke, tease, flirt. Especially flirt. My divorce (soon to be final) has released the free spirit within and I LOVE me, and in doing so, I have found so much love for everyone around me. I LOVE all around me, no matter their attitude. And I sing more.
Life is simply good as you are so good at pointing out.

Each day in some small way I bring kindness and joy to at least one person, place, or thing…………….
and I make my little yard a paradise for us all.
Now in a home of lilacs, love and laughter, I truly know the meaning
of “Happily Ever After”

Cheering people up seems to be my specialty, and being an ear and having a pair of ” huggers” (arms). I like to make people smile, laugh, feel free to be who they are!!!!!!

i had once figured that the world’s beauty is truly appreciated by probably only humans. we may be the only species that can actually appreciate everything within, at all its levels.
sometimes, though, all the heaven in the world cannot compare to the hell within. and when one realises that any beauty is ethereal at best.. so many things seem to click.

Your words put great pictures in my mind. I love that we are built to see the beautiful.
I give out compliments. It’s my own fight against anger.
