Mother’s Day | Filed under General

I will be with my mother and enjoy Mother’s Day with her this year . Many of you know I live with her and care for her, but few know the depth of which goes on here and about three weeks ago I thought I would no longer be able to do this for my mother. Things became very difficult for all and her physician was more concerned of leaving on a Friday at noon as opposed to helping provide medical care for a patient when I was trying to get help for her on the phone. I ended up using some very not lady like and not Victoria like words and hanging up as I was crying and begging for help for my mother on the phone and was getting no where. We made it until Monday when I called a physician who had just started practice in another small town and asked her if she would see my mother and explained what was going on. She not only said yes but said she would see her that day. My mother was seen by her and she immediately begin to make many changes which as a Nurse I had been asking about for months. I said nothing to this new physician she immediately made them and is having additional tests done that are needed and guess what my Mother is like the person who was my Mother years ago.

She even wakes up with a smile which is something I had not seen on her face in forever. She even says thank you and is beginning to do things for herself. I have a Mother to enjoy Mother’s Day with tomorrow so there is a reason to celebrate here and Life Is Simply Good. Because she enjoys humor this is for my mom and other mom’s that enjoy humor….

Hilarious Words of Motherly Wisdom

MICHELANGELO’S MOTHER
“Mikey, can’t you paint on walls like other children?
Do you have any idea how hard it is
to get that stuff off the ceiling?”

MONA LISA’S MOTHER
“After all that money I spent on braces, Mona,
that’s the biggest smile you can give us?”

GOLDILOCKS’ MOTHER
“I’ve got a bill here for a busted chair from
the Bear family. You know anything about this, Goldie?”

COLUMBUS’ MOTHER
“I don’t care what you’ve discovered, Christopher.
You still could have written!”

NAPOLEON’S MOTHER
“All right, Napoleon. If you aren’t hiding your report card
inside your jacket, then take your hand
out of there and prove it!”

ABRAHAM LINCOLN’S MOTHER
“Again with the stovepipe hat, Abe?
Can’t you just wear a baseball cap like the other kids?”

BATMAN’S MOTHER
“It’s a nice car, Bruce, but do you realize
how much the insurance is going to be?”

LITTLE MISS MUFFET’S MOTHER
“Well, all I’ve got to say is if you don’t get
off your tuffet and start cleaning your room,
there’ll be a lot more spiders around here!”

THOMAS EDISON’S MOTHER
“Of course I’m proud that you invented the electric
light bulb, Tommy. Now turn off that light and get to bed!”

ALBERT EINSTEIN’S MOTHER
“But, Albert, it’s your senior picture.
Can’t you do something about your hair?
Styling gel, mousse, something…?”

On a more serious note….

I Love You Mom!

Mom’s smiles can brighten any moment,
Mom’s hugs put joy in all our days,
Mom’s love will stay with us forever
and touch our lives in precious ways…

The values you’ve taught,
the care you’ve given,
and the wonderful love you’ve shown,
have enriched my life
in more ways that I can count.

I Love you Mom!

Being a care giver to your Mother is so involved and can really wipe a person out !! I am glad you got a Nurse to assist with her !! Things sound like they are looking up.

I am so pleased and happy you got the much needed help for your mother. I hope you have many days to smile and share.

Sometimes, I think it pays off to switch doctors - they can become so complacent in their doctoring skills rather than reasearh further as to what migh really help.

    God Bless you both!

I’m sorry you’ve had such a hard time getting the help you need for your Mom. Life can be so hard, but it didn’t break you. You’ve got so much loving and kindness inside of you that it radiates and will win over any obstacle that comes. *HUGS* Enjoy your day with your Mom!

    I know I’ve already commented but wanted to add one more quote to those of famous people;

“Do it, NOW, or, you’re grounded!”

My mom, God rest her soul.

That’s wonderful news about your mother’s improvement. I just got back from spending Saturday night and Sunday morning at my mom’s in Santa Cruz, about 75 miles south of here. We went cabinet shopping for my new kitchen together. That was my real mother’s day present to her, asking for her opinion. It takes so little sometimes.
    Cheers, sugah.
