We create our reality through our perceptions and our way of being. I found a text which reflects perfectly what I believe about that. This is really what I experiment every day.
“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude to me is as important as facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than success, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, gift, or skill. It will make or break a company…a church…a home.
The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past…we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable.
The only thing we can do is play on the string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10 percent what happens to me and 90 percent how I react to it. And so it is with you…we are in charge of our attitudes.”
- Charles Swindoll -
Life is a mirror
Yes your entire life is a mirror of what is going on in your consciousness. It is a reflection of yourself. Each person, each event may be considered as a tool which can help you to know yourself better and better.
If you had a mirror which could perfectly reflect all that was inside of you, what would you see? Would you see a beautiful, magnificent world in the mirror, or would things look pretty much the same as they do right now?
To a large degree, the world around you is a mirror of that which is within you. You see what you look for. People treat you as you expect to be treated. The things you experience come from the actions you take.
Think of the world as a mirror of you, and consider whether or not you like what you see. More importantly, realize that you have the power to change it. Your world is a part of you. It is an expression of you. With your thoughts and actions, you can make it what you want it to be.
A Creed To Live By
Don’t undermine your worth
By comparing yourself with others.
It is because we are different
That each of us is special.
Don’t set goals by what other people
deem important,
Only you know what is best for you.
Don’t take for granted the things
Closest to your heart,
Cling to them as you would your life,
For without them life is meaningless.
Don’t let your life slip through your fingers
By living in the past or for the future.
By living your life one day at a time,
You live all the days of your life.
Don’t give up when you still have
something to give.
Nothing is really over
Until the moment you stop trying.
Don’t be afraid to admit that you are
less than perfect.
It is this fragile thread
That binds us to each other.
Don’t be afraid to encounter risks.
It is by taking chances
That we learn how to be brave.
Don’t shut love out of your life
By saying it’s impossible to find.
The quickest way to receive love
is to give love,
The fastest way to lose love
Is to hold it too tightly,
And the best way to keep love
Is to give it wings.
Don’t dismiss your dreams.
To be without dreams is to be without hope.
To be without hope is to be without purpose.
Don’t run through life so fast
That you forget not only where you have been,
But also where you are going.
Life is not a race
But a journey to be savored
Each step of the way…
Do you think I am finished yet, you know me better, well maybe you have not been here enough. Pull up a chair get comfortable settle in there is more. Yes there really is.

Vickie, You are such a wonderful writer. I hate to have to read your post so fast. I’m coming back tomorrow and read much slower! (Changing addresses is such a chore!)
I just stopped by to say that I’ve moved my blog, and my new address will lead you to my all new, super-duper digs! Come on by and check out my new look.
And if you don’t mind, could you please update your blogroll with the new link. It’s ALMOST like the last one, only better!
See you soon, xo

Vickie, thanks for this post. I needed to be reminded once again to have faith in myself. The world goes by so fast with so many things to do and to accomplish that I feel I always tend to lose my breath, myself. And I lose even more when I start comparing myself to the greatness of others.
Thanks for reminding me that I need to start believing in my potentials. Especially in the coming weeks when I have lots of presentations to make (very nervous).
You are such an inspiration.
Love you,
C.
