Once again, just for today, i will be true to my conscience. . . .it’s friday once more, which means that we’ve made it through another week. what kinds of contributions have you made to the lives of the people you’ve touched this week? our contributions to the lives of others are our contributions to the world. . . .I find myself asking that more and more these days…
Let me do my work each day; and if the darkened hours of despair
overcome me, may I not forget the strength that comforted me
in the desolation of other times.
May I still remember the bright hours that found me walking over
the silent hills of my childhood, or dreaming on the margin of a quiet
river, when a light glowed within me, and I promised my early God
to have courage amid the tempests of the changing years.
Spare me from bitterness and from the sharp passions of unguarded
moments. May I not forget that poverty and riches are of the spirit.
Though the world knows me not, may my thoughts and actions be
such as shall keep me friendly with myself.
Lift up my eyes from the earth, and let me not forget the uses of the
stars. Forbid that I should judge others lest I condemn myself.
Let me not follow the clamor of the world, but walk calmly in my
path.
Give me a few friends who will love me for what I am; and keep ever
burning before my vagrant steps the kindly light of hope.
And though age and infirmity overtake me, and I come not within
sight of the castle of my dreams, teach me still to be thankful for
life, and for time’s olden memories that are good and sweet; and
may the evening’s twilight find me gentle still.

To live is not merely to breathe, it is to act; it is to make use of our organs, senses, faculties, of all those parts of ourselves which give us the feeling of existence. The person who has lived the longest is not the one who has counted most years, but who has enjoyed life most. Please make today a great day in your life! Enjoy what is around you for no matter where you are you can find beauty if you look for it. Remember it is all about a choice and WE make the choice just make the right one—-grow up and be a Poppy.
Thank you are words so full of my love and emotion for each of you who took the time to reach out to me with a comment or maybe it was just your thoughts yesterday after reading my post. It was a difficult post for me but a necessary one to acknowledge to myself as well as to each of you that yes even those seen as Inspirational has dark times and struggles with how to deal with it. Today was a new day as is each and I approached it in that manner just as I will tomorrow. I do continue to believe Life Is Simply Good. Have a great weekend take some special time just for YOU and remember YOU are special treat yourself that way.

You’re so amazing and have a great attitude. Every day is a new day and full of new opportunites to make things better. We need to take the bad and turn them into good, just as you continue to do. We have two choices - we can either let things beat us, or rise up and overcome. I hope you can take some time for you this weekend and remember I’m here if you need to talk! *HUGS*

Popping in on Cecilia’s suggestion. Hi, Cecilia.
Good for you for facing depression head on. Great people such as Lincoln have suffered from it, it is thought. And yet they triumphed.
You are clearly strong person, as nurses have to deal with problems unimaginably sad and stressful for the rest of us. Good for you turning sadness into inspirational lessons for others.
