Find a Balance | Filed under General

Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling some five balls in the air. You name them work, family, health, friends and spirit, and you’re keeping all of these in the air. You will soon understand that “work” is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. But the other four balls - family, health, friends & spirit–are made of glass. If you drop one of these, they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged or even shattered. They will never be the same.

You must understand that and strive for balance in your life. How?

Don’t undermine your worth by comparing yourself with others. It is because we are different that each of us is special.

Don’t set your goals by what other people deem important. Only you know what is best for you.

Don’t take for granted the things closest to your heart. Cling to them as you would your life, for without them, life is meaningless.

Don’t let your life slip through your fingers by living in the past or for the future. By living your life one day at a time, you live ALL the days of your life.

Don’t give up when you still have something to give. Nothing is really over until the moment you stop trying.

Don’t be afraid to admit that you are less than perfect. It is this fragile thread that binds us to each other.

Don’t be afraid to encounter risks. It is by taking chances that we learn how to be brave.

Don’t shut love out of your life by saying it’s impossible to find. The quickest way to receive love is to give; the fastest way to lose love is to hold it too tightly; and the best way to keep love is to give it wings.

Don’t run through life so fast that you forget not only where you’ve been, but also where you are going.

Don’t forget that a person’s greatest emotional need is to feel appreciated.

Don’t be afraid to learn. Knowledge is weightless, a treasure you can always carry easily.

Don’t use time or words carelessly. Neither can be retrieved.

Life is not a race, but a journey to be savored each step of the way. Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift. That’s why we call it “the present.”

You have to count on living every single day
in a way you believe will make you feel good
about your life–so that if it were over
tomorrow, you’d be content with yourself.

Do you like to play games, some adults still play games if so what is your favorite game. If you no longer play games, what was your favorite game as a child? Don’t be shy play with me , no silly not that way.., leave me an answer for this inquiring mind wants to know. See there are many sides to Sweet n Sassy as some of you know.

One of the many sides and the one most see here has lead to me being known as Inspirational, it was in that capacity that I had the opportunity to meet the beautiful Pink Poppy of Tall Poppy Diaries. This remarkable beautiful lady is a leader in many ways and I am very pleased she is allowing me to serve on the Board of Directors of the The Poppy Club. If you have not heard about the Poppy Club and would like to know more about it I encourage you to please go here. However being a Poppy is not just for anyone and you might want to find out more about what makes a true Poppy by going here.

Now don’t forget the question I asked, you have no reason to be shy after you are at Always Victoria’s place where Life Is Simply Good. I hope you have enjoyed your visit with me and by the way did you have a glass of tea while visiting. Sweet tea at that for after all this is the South. Come back when you have longer to visit and please leave a comment and if you ever want to know something just ask. Until next time, smile.

I like to play golf and doodle. I joined Ill. Friday a month ago. It is very demanding on my time becouse of my trimmers. It takes me a long time to do even a semple sketch. I enjoy it so much.

Hi Victoria…thanks to Michele and Tall Poppy..I find many wonderful bloggers– you are one of them –
I like to play Scrabble, Color in coloring books, cards, bingo, all kinds of games..including hide and seek with little ones (like age 3)… they get SOO excited.

Most times I wish that some people would just realize that by trying to be superior over others just reflects a deep level of insecurity in them. I often hear “the brilliant ones” in our lab talk over how “st*pid” this person’s work here or that person doesn’t know what he’s doing. Why don’t they just stop and help out instead? All these just give cause for “underdog” people to “undermine” themselves by hearing of these comparisons. Indeed, they should realize that it is themselves that can only know what is best for them…

Favorite game: card games! Any will do….I love it when you get hearty laughs over people who take it too seriously…

    Smile, Pearly Poppy!!!

Growing up: Life, Monopoly, Trouble, Operation. I still like Monopoly. Balderdash is a riot, and Dominoes have become a family favorite (Chicken Scratch). Russian Rummy is also a family tradition.

Have a great day, and thanks for the reminders and inspiration.

Another noteworthy post, my dear. Visiting you each morning sets the pace of my day. You’ll never know how much these mean to me.

Games: Well you know I’m a die hard gamer. I play all kinds of video games (WHEN I GET THE TIME). I’m on a game boy advance Final Fantasy kick right now. Yes, I have actually set aside the Sims for a bit.

Wow, another wonderful post! As for games, I would play Monopoly for hours when I was kid!

what to do when someone literally makes you so mad you start to shake? Because you can’t believe it and have no words?

    Walk away.
