Have you ever had one of those days when you just wanted to let the world know that yes! you have it “Life IS Simply Good” ? Yes of course you have, we all have them, and today is my day. No there is not anything special going on in my life it is just those small things that make me happy–special phone calls with friends, my father-in-law sending me Fincher’s Barbeque yesterday (which by the way was the first barbeque ever eaten in space), the sun is shining, and it is a pretty day here in Little Town. Grab a char and sit a spell with me, would you like a cup of coffee?
A Psalm of Life
WHAT THE HEART OF THE YOUNG
MAN SAID TO THE PSALMIST
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Tell me not, in mournful numbers,
Life is but an empty dream!–
For the soul is dead that slumbers,
And things are not what they seem.
Life is real! Life is earnest!
And the grave is not its goal;
Dust thou art, to dust returnest,
Was not spoken of the soul.
Not enjoyment, and not sorrow,
Is our destined end or way;
But to act, that each to-morrow
Find us farther than to-day.
Art is long, and Time is fleeting,
And our hearts, though stout and brave,
Still, like muffled drums, are beating
Funeral marches to the grave.
In the world’s broad field of battle,
In the bivouac of Life,
Be not like dumb, driven cattle!
Be a hero in the strife!
Trust no future, howe’er pleasant!
Let the dead Past bury its dead!
Act,–act in the living Present!
Heart within, and God o’erhead!
Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time;
Footprints, that perhaps another,
Sailing o’er life’s solemn main,
A forlorn and shipwrecked brother,
Seeing, shall take heart again.
Let us, then, be up and doing,
With a heart for any fate;
Still achieving, still pursuing,
Learn to labor and to wait.
Moving right along to some of my favorite quotes:
It is not the level of prosperity that makes for happiness but the kinship of heart to heart and the way we look at
the world. Both attitudes are within our power, so that we are happy so long as we choose to be happy,
and no one can stop us.
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
I am somebody. I am me. I like being me. And I need nobody to make me somebody.
Louis L’Amour
‘ve never met a person, I don’t care what his or her condition, in whom I could not see possibilities. I don’t care how much people may consider themselves failures, I believe in them, for they can change the thing that is wrong in their lives anytime they are prepared and ready to do it. Whenever they develop the desire, they can take away from their lives the thing that is defeating it. The capacity for reformation and change lies within.
Preston Bradley
People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. The people who get on in this world are they who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and, if they can’t find them, make them.
George Bernard Shaw
So as I go on my way today I leave you this in closing…….Today
Mend a quarrel. Search out a forgotten friend. Dismiss suspicion and replace it with trust. Write a love letter. Share some treasure. Give a soft answer. Encourage youth. Manifest your loyalty in a word or deed.
Keep a promise. Find the time. Forego a grudge. Forgive an enemy. Listen. Apologize if you were wrong. Try to understand. Flout envy. Examine your demands on others. Think first of someone else. Appreciate, be kind, be gentle. Laugh a little more.
Deserve confidence. Take up arms against malice. Decry complacency. Express your gratitude. Worship your God. Gladden the heart of a child. Take pleasure in the beauty and wonder of the earth. Speak your love. Speak it again. Speak it still again. Speak it still once again.
May you find all you want today, and may all you want be enough. I have and I hope you will, it has taken me years of searching and many mistakes I have made along the way but I know in my heart I have what I want and yes it is enough and My Life Is Simply Good. There are times we look around in awe of what is over there and wonder why that is not for us but there is a reason and if you ever become happy with who you are and what you have then you will know true happiness and can say and understand my meaning behind Life Is Simply Good.
Before I leave today I must say a very special thank you to Sweet William for his kindness , for sharing and for allowing me to use HIS mantra of Life Is Simply Good. Yes it is!

You are, indeed, on a roll and I am thankful for that. This is such a moving post that I have been woken up and finally saw an answer to a question that has been gnawing at me for the past couple of days already.
For that, I THANK YOU. Once again.
Have a great day! (((hugs)))
