A bittersweet retirement in the face of multiple sclerosis | Filed under Multiple Sclerosis
I would like you to read this article for it is a link into someone’s life. This someone could have been me when I retired with the exception that I had not worked for the company 25 years. This is the disease I live with everyday and as he said I made it. I hung in with the help of my boss, chose to retire right before the company was sold and did well at the time of the sell due to my retirement.
However life is what you make of it and Life Is Simply Good at Always Victoria’s.

That is such a sad story. Very few companies/bosses in this world are understanding when it comes to illnesses (I’m VERY lucky in that respect too). But you don’t let it beat you, especially your spirit. It is alive and well and won’t be dampered by the physical. You’re such a shining example.
*HUGS* Love you - and Merry Christmas!

Good times and bad times are all part of life’s journey. We have all experienced them in one way or another. The core of our life is how we react to them. We can’t get caught up in “why did this happen to me” and “life’s not fair”. This is where are faith starts. Most people can love God when good things are happening to them, but many curse His name when things go sour. I believe that it is in these difficult times that you get to see the Lord in your soul and have the opportunity to be your best. Roadblocks cause us to grow in new and unexpected ways if we maintain faith. I believe no matter how difficult it is, having faith will never make you endure more than you can handle. As an example, I always think of waiting for a ride, standing out in the cold, and being sure that you just can’t tolerate the elements one more minute. Just when you are about to panic and look for something drastic to do, your ride with the heater on comes and in a few short minutes everyting is back to normal. I thank the Lord for helping me endure and that I’ll never be left stranded. Warm wishes for a Very Merry Christmas!
