Slow down | Filed under General
When your body tells you to slow down but your schedule won’t remind yourself that you have the responsibility to take care of you.
If you live an out of control schedule, like trying to cram three days of work into one, the personal toll is high, your stress level rises, quickly it all becomes overwhelming.
Slow down, pace yourself. You will accomplish more if you set a reasonable pace, one that can maintain for the long run. Part of that pace should include scheduling time to relax and refresh your body, soul and spirit.
It could be a dinner with friend, a long walk or even a relaxing bubble bath. Take time this week to do something for yourself. You deserve it.

You are so right! That is the trouble with so many of us, we work ourselves to the bone leaving very little time for ourselves. Thanks for the reminder!

It’s when I’m the midst of the flurry of activity that I need to remind myself to slow down; it feels SO good when you do.

Exercise and rest. Try to fit in your own decompress time each day. Statistically more and more of us are getting health problems because of stress, and because there is no miracle cure for the problems it brings, you have to modify your lifestyle so you don’t self-destruct.

There are times slowing down is not an option - - but to set a time in the future to slow down is important - - if even just for a morning or afternoon

To add to that, eating lunch at your desk is a real negative. Get outdoors, if you can and the weather allows. But do - get away from your desk
