What a friend | Filed under Multiple Sclerosis
Each of you have been finding out things about me as you read my blog, the good….the bad…and the ugly not that movie, just my life. It was back in 1989, I thought it was over when I left the neurologist office with a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis, not the brain tumor I thought I had. You see being a nurse you often imagine the worse and will diagnosis yourself which was what had gone on with me. I just knewI had a brain tumor it was inaoperable and I would have six months to live but instead I was told you have MS. WOW that is kwel Iwas not going to die but wait just a minute what is going to happen with me, there was no treatment at that time for the disease only treatment for the symptoms.
Well not to worry I am still here and it is because of the many good organizations out there who are so interested in finding a cure and I want one soon. Please help cure ME. My friend Vinny who reads my blog is going to be riding in 2004 New York City MS Bike Tour on October 17,2004 for anyone in that area, please check it out.

I found my $100.00 and living on a fixed income if I can you can of course this is near and dear to my heart as I live with it every day of my life and I plan for this charity. I challenge each of you to reach down and give. Do I make a good Jerry Lewis which brings me to the point of saying Multiple Sclerosis is very different from Multiple Dystropy and we do not recive any of the Jerry’s kids money. So many think they are related in some way but they are not at all. Now come on I think I have done a pretty good job of pimping myself here for Vinny and he is doing something very good now support this cause and just maybe with the money he raises which you have contributed a cure will be found for me.
Vinny, Thank you from the bottom of my heart for deciding you would like to ride in this event for myself, Mind Of MOG, and your family member who has MS. You were a special one before and even more so now. Good luck!!!

It’s so great he’s doing that. I know a lot of people aren’t too fond of the way Jerry Lewis raises money for MDA, but with a son with one of the disorders (not DMD) covered by MDA, I’m glad he raises the money he does. There are so many things out there needing funding–I’m always glad to see a worthy cause getting funds.
