I have taken a statin for almost a year now for one reason and it was for my Multiple Sclerosis only, no it is not FDA approved for it but a physician can at anytime order a medication off label if they feel it may be appropriate. My neurologist was aware of the studies that are being done and since it is a medication that has few side effects chose to discuss it with me as a possible option when I was having continued excebations. I have been very pleased with the results that I have had and she also agrees there has been an improvement. I have had no further exacerbations which was a very BIG improvement.
